Even the very first drops of this ‘water of life’ on the tongue are the key to a world of flavour all of its own, allowing one to savour the distinct characteristics of each whisky’s origin and history.
The more you know about whisky, the more flavour profiles you have explored and compared, the more clearly its unique characteristics emerge – characteristics created for no other purpose than to delight our senses. I first became captivated by the ‘water of life’ over 30 years ago, and with every new drop I’ve tasted, my passion has only grown.

With a passion for whisky and a deep understanding of the spirit, we offer you a wide selection of both well-known and lesser-known single malt whiskies, mainly from Scotland. Our top priority: we have to like them ourselves, and they have to be worth the price – even if both of those criteria are highly subjective.
We have around 2,000 different whiskies and premium spirits in stock in our store and warehouses. In our store, we take the time to provide detailed advice and explanations. Whisky isn’t just a business – it brings together people who share a passion for the same things and inspire one another with their enthusiasm. You can experience this time and again at our tastings, which we organize around various themes, distilleries, or bottlers.

We are honored to have been the official Michel Couvreur importer for Southern Germany since 2015 and to be able to present these wonderful whiskies. Like our customers, we are also thrilled by the outstanding craftsmanship with which Michel Couvreur creates exceptional whiskies with an inimitable old-school sherry character.
That’s why his whiskies usually take center stage at our trade shows and tastings. We don’t just see ourselves as ambassadors; we’re definitely among the biggest fans of these magnificent whiskies. Holding your own against the big players is never easy. But some people don’t even want to. Being independent offers the chance to either preserve what makes you unique or to be flexible and creative. Or both. In a niche, what makes you special can be preserved, and the unexpected can emerge and flourish.
That’s why we’re always on the hunt for hidden gems, and we often find them among independent bottlers.

The new 2026 Michel Couvreur "Unpeated Overaged Malt Whisky" – available now!
We are happy and proud to have received the sixth edition of this Germany-exclusive bottling from our friends in France. Cellar master Jean-Arnaud Frantzen has – as always – successfully tried his best to conjure up something very special for Couvreur fans in Germany. It's a little different than its predecessor from last year, once again it's a unique cuvée made primarily from PX and Manzanilla sherry casks: summery, dry, fruity and nutty. Brighter and significantly less sweet than the classic Overaged at 52%. As always, uncolored, not chill-filtered and bottled at 49.5% cask strength. Of course, with enough time in the Gals, he'll get even better. In our opinion, it doesn't need water despite its barrel strength
The "Unpeated 2026" is available as a 700ml version in a new MC bottle at the same price as 99 euros and a few 1.5 liter magnum bottles in a wooden box are also available for 215 euros.

The new 2026 Michel Couvreur “Unpeated Overaged Malt Whiskey” – now available!
We are delighted and proud to have received the sixth edition of this Germany-exclusive bottling from our friends in France. Cellar master Jean-Arnaud Frantzen has—as always—successfully crafted something truly special for Couvreur fans in Germany. While it differs slightly from last year’s release, it is once again a unique blend drawn primarily from PX and Manzanilla sherry casks: summery, with notes of dry fruit and nuts. It is lighter in color and significantly less sweet than the classic 52% Overaged expression. As always, it is uncolored, non-chill filtered, and bottled at a cask strength of 49.5%. Naturally, it improves further with time in the glass. In our opinion, it does not require water, despite its cask strength.

For over a quarter of a century, Niels has been a connoisseur and lover of Scottish single malts. He is particularly fond of bottlings from exclusive sherry casks – especially when they are paired with notes of smoke and peat.

Palo Cortado Finish – 57,95%

On the nose, a light, acidity-driven note—perhaps even a hint of nuts already!? Definitely not typical bourbon cask aromas. And we can surmise: there is more hidden in the glass, waiting to reveal itself on the palate.
The nearly 58% alcohol content creates an astringent sensation in the mouth almost immediately. The dry Paolo Cortado causes an immediate tightening sensation on the tongue. Then, the rich sherry flavors emerge in the finish; they can be beautifully reactivated time and again by savoring the lingering taste on the palate (think: dry raisins).

Dear whiskey friends, this time we have picked out something very special for you from the independent bottler Signatory Vintage, who obviously has a phenomenal cask stock to fall back on - and inexpensive too: an ABERFELDY that is quite young at 11 years old, but fully matured in the first-filled Oloroso sherry cask (we like it very much!) - a real sherry bomb at the excellent price of 85 euros (700ml, equivalent). 121.43 euros/l)!
Nose: Inviting sherry and delicate honey combine with warm vanilla and a hint of fine nuts.
Taste: Full-bodied raisins and smooth caramel meet the tart elegance of dark chocolate and complex spice notes.
